Universe Story
----------------------------
An interactive storytelling
of the Universe Story, from the Big Bang 13 billion years ago, through
the creation of the stars, galaxies, planets, Earth, life on Earth and
our human journey on this planet.
Around 200,000 years
ago, a small tribe of the first humans appear in East Africa. Will they
survive starvation and attacks from wild animals? Can you help the early
humans survive? Come along, make your suggestions and see how the story
changes. And see what lessons we can learn from this episode for the
global challenges that we face today.

'Clepton
is a music band fromBarcelona
which is formed by four young man
since February of 2007. They do a kind of rock similar to indie rock
but they have some different influences (punk, jazz, ska, blues, pop
rock...) that give more personality.The
summer of last year they did some gigs and they finished with the most
important one, playing with
'Barón Rojo', a mythical metal band which has beenplaying since
25 years ago. After a year, they have recorded a demo of five songs
which is starting
to get popular in Catalonia. They are currently doing more gigs in
the area of Barcelona. Nevertheless, they will do a three-week England
tour in July which will give them more experience and sound maturity.

this will count towards her coursework for ‘Performing for the Terrified’!
James is an experienced drummer who will be pushing the boundaries of
self control to play with brushes instead of sticks to accompany an
acoustic set of covers by artists including The Kooks and K T Tunstall.

in early 2007, with three ex-Barfinkle members teaming up with singer-songwriter
Jo Shelbourne, they are fresh out of the studio with an EP on the way,
and can be seen rocking their sexy, energetic, punk-pop sound at festivals
all over the UK this summer."
John
Fell is singer/guitarist in The Fontanelles, a lo-fi-rock band from
South
Yorkshire. Over the last three years John has played tons of shows in
London and the North with both the band and on his own, acoustic-stylee.
Expect to hear tunes from the Fontanelles' album "Three Finger
Salute" alongside new material and possibly an ill-advised cover
or two, depending on mood/cider intake.
"..great tunes, impassioned words... The Fontanelles sound like
ace indie dweebs Sebadoh kicking The Cribs out of bed or Pavement charging
at the day headlong. Check out 'Extasy' for a sound that's simultaneously
romantic, giddy and fun." - NME
"..US-influenced
catchy indie-rock akin to the poppier end of Nirvana mixed with Yo La
Tengo." - Silver Rocket Club, London
Ricky Russell is
a dance-inducing tunesmith from London with a political edge. Ricky's
probing lyrics and bluesy guitar and singing
is backed by a funky rhythm section and electronic grooves...a blend
that has invited comparisons with acts as varied as The Chemical Brothers,
The Streets and The Verve.
Ricky and his band have been gigging in the UK throughout 2008 and this
year's Wizzafest performance will be their third in a row - the party-loving
festival vibe fitting perfectly with the band's mix of entrancing beats
and sing-a-longable tunes.
Armed with a gang of friends - some Wizzafest regulars and some who'll
be new to the experience - this long weekend in July promises to be
a highlight of the Ricky Russell calendar, and we welcome all of you
to join in the fun.
Three Torches can
often be found digging holes and filling in holes around the Doncaster
area. When they get the time they play their music as often and as fast
a possible. Formed in 2007 they have been likened to the like of The

are taking to the road to play as much as humanly possible. It is the
Three Torches debut at Wizzafest and we can't wait!

Simon
Andrews
Simon Andrews is
an acoustic singer/songwriter based in Derby. Origionally
from Bournemouth, this mild mannered 24 year old has been gigging his
unique brand of "Acoutica" for the past 5 years, in and around
the midlands and has become a household name in Derby thanks to it's
thriving open mic scene. He is a graduate of the Academy of Contemporary
music, where he hommed his musical talent.
His music has been
compared to that of Damien Rice, John Mayer, and even James Taylor.
With heart renching lyrics and the raw emotion of Simon's voice, joined
with his solid and intricate guitar playing, Simon's songs stand out
in what has become a very crowded genre of music.www.myspace.com/simonandrewsmusic

Month Ban
This
is 3 Month Ban's third trip to Wizzafest. In 2006, they constructed
their own stage from wooden debris by the camp fire, which almost
collapsed under the weight of the kit
half way through their set. Last year, the monsoon that engulfed the
Saturday night and caused the generator to blow, saw them take the stage
shortly before midnight. Luckily they avoided electrocution, and are
back for more punishment this year with some new contemporary covers
to get party started. Check out their myspace for a great clip of Are
You Gonna Be My Girl from last year's Wizzafest set. This is a fantastic
event - we always have a great time!
Steve
O'Donoghue sounds not unlike Roddy Frame doing Beatles ballads.Add a
little Ray Davies realism and maybe a touch of Haircut 100's strum-along
pop and you've got a real talent.Like a blast from a golden indie past,
these are cracking songs full of love, hope
and rejection.Excellent" - Piccadilly Records
Colin
Wakeford has been described as processing a "vibrant and punchy"
style "similar to Neil Finn; combining melody with attitude".
He has been described as "one of Manchester's most promising singer-songwriters"
and cites Neil Finn, Lennon & McCartney, James Grant, Del Amitri
and early-Elvis Costello as his influences. His music offers intelligent
lyrics woven around old-school pop melodies.
As well as touring
the acoustic circuits the length and breadth of the country, he has
supported MIDGE URE, THE CHRISTIANS, THE MIGHTY WAH!, and THE LOTUS
EATERS.
He
has performed on various radio shows - BBC GMR, Northsound and Moray
Firth FM amongst others - as well as appearing on Manchester's Channel
M TV.
In 2003 he featured on the Liverpool-based Chromium Records compilation,
UP NORTH Pt2. www.myspace.com/colinwakefordmusicWelcome to Wizzafest colin!

Skullbone
are a 2 piece power house out of Doncaster, Yorkshire.
Skullbone play swampy, groovy, Southern tinged backwoods rock, but with

Blue Mary Jane are a bluesy rock’n’roll band described
as a 'hybrid version of The Rolling Stones and The Stone Roses on heat'
(What Peterborough magazine). Born in a barn in December 2006, the band
got a set together and started gigging 6 months later, the first being
at The Met Lounge in Peterborough. Since then the band have been gigging
in the likes of Nottingham, London, Leeds and Manchester. Having laid
down a few tunes in the studio, its finally kicking off and they’re
gonna av it!
