About Wizzafest!

Wizzafest – It’s All About Fun

WizzaFest started in 2005 as a party to send Emma on her travels to ‘stralia and to celebrate Charlie & Kev’s birthdays. A great time was had by all, an amazing amount of tents were pitched in Charlie & Kev’s back garden!, The Marquee was in the front Garden, the bands played into the night and Timmy’s hog roast and BBQ brekky kept us all nourished. WizzaFest 2006 held a different meaning for us.

Not long after WizzaFest 2005 our dad Ivan discovered he had a tumour he was all set to have it removed in January. Unfortunately, during the operation it was discovered that the cancer had spread and it was inoperable. Dad passed onto spirit on the 22nd May 2006 after spending some quality time at the Rowans Hospice in Portsmouth. His passion for WizzaFest was immense – the Wilcock Fest! And did you know that Z’s are the cheapest letter of the alphabet to have put on your car registration plate? (well at least that’s what he told us!!) he was especially excited about that bit! So… in memory of our Dad, Wizzafest lives on, we have raised money for The Rowans Hospice in previous years but as of 2010 we raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support, we raised nearly £1,500 in 2010 and over £2000 in 2011.

Our mission is to Raise money but also host a weekend for Families and friends that is affordable and most importantly Fun!

Hope to see you there
